Brooklyn Beta—It began as a conference, but became more of a community, a place for the “work hard and be nice to people” crowd. Five editions from 2010 to 2014.

Coworking
Atlas Local—A small group of independents and technologists grow tired of working from home, coffee shops, and cubicles, so they band together to start one of the very first coworking spaces. Many of them are still working together to this day.

Chris Shiflett
Founder
Chris is Faculty’s founder. He’s passionate about science, design, and technology—and bringing out the best in people. But you can also talk to him about soccer and backcountry adventures.
Chris Merritt
Managing Director
Chris is Faculty’s managing director, especially adept at organizing remote teams and aligning business goals with digital solutions. Outside of work you can find him swimming with his family or fly fishing.
